Ovulation is so much more than just for fertility, it how women make their hormones!
We aren’t like the guys who produce their main hormone (testosterone) everyday.
Ovarian hormones (estradiol and progesterone) are so beneficial for women’s health in order to thrive.
Every monthly dose of 𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗼𝗹 promotes muscle gain, insulin sensitivity, and the long-term health of bones, brain, and the cardiovascular system.
Every monthly dose of 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗲 reduces inflammation, regulates immune function, and supports thyroid, brain, bones, and breast tissue.
See why its so much more than just for fertility? Its for our overall wellness for the short-term and long-term!
Unfortunately this doesn’t apply to those on the contraceptive pill as the pill stops ovulation all together.
There are some easy ways to 𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳-𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗰𝗸 if you’re ovulating (we will talk about this tomorrow):
1. Basal body temp (a slight increase marks that ovulation has occurred)
2. Fertile cervical mucus (you should get egg-white texture 3-4 days before your “main” ovulation day)
We have have a limited amount of time during our reproductive years to set up our bodies for future health when these wonderful process naturally decline and enter into peri-menopause and menopause.
Ok love you bye.
