There is so much focus on that 1 hour of working out, that one tends to forget about the other 23 hours.
You kill yourself at gym and yet you see barely any results.
That 1 hour is not solely going to get you to where you want to be.
This is why I look at the persons food, lifestyle, sleep, stress, etc.
All of this contributes to your goals.
Should you just not workout? ABSO-F**KING-LUTELY NOT!
Why:
- Workouts burn way fewer calories that you think. So you could over eat thinking you’ve burnt a mega amount.
- There is so no such thing as a “fat burning” workout, don’t get fooled by the great marketing. Fuelling you body the be efficient combined with movement is where the “magic” happens.
Try think of your workouts like this:
- Strength training ( and I’m not talking about those 3kg dumbbells):
Helps bone density, maintaining muscle tissue especially when you get older, controlled body fat, joint flexibility.
- Cardio:
For heart and lung health. Do whatever cardio you love and can be consistent with.
- Walking:
Digestion, stress relief, balance the central nervous system, aids in blood sugar control.
