First of all, STOP skipping meals and make sure the meals are balanced so you don’t get mad cravings and feel unfulfilled!
When your body does not feel like it is getting enough solid nutrients, it will tell you! Enter cravings. I see this a lot when people go on low carb diets. You are depriving your body of it's main fuel source!
The theme- "overfed and undernourished" comes to mind. Feel like you are eating all the "right" things but yet you still constantly thinking about food and cravings, maybe your plate is not as balanced as you thought!
Think of your plate being split between: 1/4 protein, 1/4 starchy vegetables or grains, 1/2 mix of colorful vegetables. Then the little cherry on top is about a serving or 2 of fats. So that could look like 1/4-1/2 of an avocado, 1 tbsp olive oil or tahini drizzled over.
I remember when I used to get anxiety, stressed and so overwhelmed when it came to food and eating, and let me tell you it was not a vibe!
Most times it led to not eating or just completely binging.
I know many people, especially women, go through the same thing and it’s so sad. I know, I was there.
And society doesn’t help with the vast amount of confusing nutrition information out there, societal acceptance and pressure.
There is enough stress in todays life and food should not be one of them.
This is why I started Grow With The Flow (specifically for women), to understand nutrition for your body and lifestyle and to make it an easy habit that it becomes second nature to you.
Its always better doing it together than alone, it was something I wish I had when I went through my healing journey.
